VDA'S Friday the 13th contest had 93 entries, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading all of them! Thank you EVERYONE for sharing your personal F13 stories with me - from the hilarious to the heartfelt, I adored them all, truly. But the fact is, I have just one 8-bit Jason figure to give out, so I had to narrow it down to just one winner. It wasn't easy, but I decided to go with a story that captured it all - from the video store experience to the joy/terror upon first seeing Jason to how goddamn hard that NES game was. It was not the funniest story of the bunch, or the most unique, but it had heart, passion, and nostalgia that just appealed to me. So without further adieu...
