For the past week, the rumor has been circulating that Guy Pearce was cast in Ridley Scott’s Alien 5 Prometheus. Today, The Playlist has confirmed that suspicion, though there is still no word on the extent of his role or who he will play. The top-secret, possible-Alien-prequel also stars Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Rafe Spall, and Idris Elba. The film, which is currently in production in Toronto, is set to be released June 2012.
