The next film from Larry Fessenden's indie film studio Glass Eye Pix (House of the Devil, I Sell the Dead, Stake Land) will be a creature horror flick called Hypothermia. It's not the first Glass Eye pic set on ice either, as you may remember The Last Winter. This one is directed by James Felix McKenney (Automatons, Satan Hates You) and stars the epic Michael Rooker.
Here is the synopsis:
The story takes place in Maine in the dead of winter. Ray Pelletier and his wife Helen have been ice fishing the frozen expanse of Lake Noyade for over two decades but this year something is different: no fish bite. Is it their new neighbors on the ice -- Stevie Jr. and his overbearing Dad -- with their high-tech gear and over-sized rig that is driving the fish away? Or is it something else? The answer comes in an onslaught of ferocious attacks that unites the two families against a mysterious creature from under the ice.
Originally, it was suggested that this film would be a man-in-suit creature feature. Let's hope that is true. Anyway, on to the trailer (courtesy of TwitchFilm):
