Vendor Spotlight: Terry Cruikshank

Hello, my name is Heather. And I am a Terry Cruikshank addict. I first discovered Terry’s hand-made dolls and plushes at Horrorfind Weekend in Hunt Valley, MD back in 2005. At every convention then and since, his vendor table never ceases to  wow everyone, drawing an enormous crowd of on-lookers. He has film and television characters (classic to modern), original monsters, vampires, werewolves, devil babies, frightening stuffed animals, and much more.

From the first moment I saw these dolls, I wanted to take them all home. By the end of that weekend, I had his Shaun (of the Dead) doll. I now own four Cruikshank Creation dolls – two of which were custom-made. I will no doubt own one or two more by the end of this year. I also own a Terror Teddy and two killer bunnies. I told you I am an addict.

There are still so many more I want, and will surely buy. Of all the impulse-buy temptations at any given horror convention, Cruikshank dolls are the hardest to resist. Still, I never feel guilty afterwards for buying one, as they make me happy just looking at them. Most of my friends say, “Those are amazing, but expensive.” Truth is, these things are very reasonable considering the time spent on each hand-made doll and the level of detail and quality. And Terry will custom make you pretty much anything you want. Look through his catalog and prepare to be amazed.

Terry appears at most horror conventions, or you can purchase his creations on his website.
