Cuba is joining in on the zombie genre with a promising-looking zom-com called - what else - Juan of the Dead (aka Juan de los Muertos). According to Latino Review, this is actually Communist Cuba's first horror film. And not just any horror film - it tackles the issue of immigration and the Cuban Revolution.
In Juan of the Dead, Havana becomes overrun by zombies, and the Cuban government insists it's the United States behind everything. Juan and his friends take advantage of the situation by setting up a zombie-killing business.
The trailer is full of splattery fun and humor. Looks like a future cult classic. Check it out:
