The first footage of anticipated genre mash-up, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter has landed. This was one of my most anticipated horror films of 2012, so needless to say, I have every reason to be excited...until now. I have to admit, this trailer put a damper on my ALVH hard-on. Take a look and tell me what you think:

Maybe it's the completely inappropriate music in the trailer. Perhaps it's just me, but Johnny Cash's "The Man Comes Around" is synonymous with Dawn of the Dead (2004), and the horrible cutting in this trailer (to the point where the lyrics make no sense) definitely does not help.
I am generally a fan of Timur Bekmambetov (Night Watch, Wanted) though admittedly his hyper-visual style does get obnoxious sometimes. I worry that may be the case here.
What do you think? Still excited to see Honest Abe fuck up some vamps?
***UPDATE***
A newer, International version of the trailer has surfaced with some slight differences, including monologue from Dominic Cooper. Have a peek if you're interested:
Personally, I think Cooper's voice-over improves the trailer. Anyone concur?
