Alongside many incredible-looking genre films currently screening at SXSW, Indonesian thriller Modus Anomali is having its premiere. The latest from Joko Anwar looks like a mind-bending slasher film about a man and his family tormented by a sadistic killer. While the teaser looked pretty run-of-the-mill, this new trailer adds a lot of intrigue and creepiness. Take a look:
The full plot is as follows: During a vacation in the woods, a man tries to find his family who mysteriously disappear, while being hunted by a sadistic killer. His only clues are several alarm clocks which seem to tell him about a deadline to something he doesn't know.
Pretty interesting, huh? I will definitely be keeping an eye on this one.
