Okay, I already love Marvel, Iron Man, and Robert Downey Jr, but they went and sweetened the pot when Shane Black came on-board. Not sure who he is yet? You may not know the name but chances are you know his work.
Mr. Black wrote such action films as Lethal Weapon, The Last Boy Scout, The Long Kiss Goodnight, and Last Action Hero. He also wrote the beloved cult classic, Monster Squad! Then he finally made his directorial debut with the incredible (and I mean fucking AWESOME) film, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. That remains one of my favorite movies and my favorite Robert Downey Jr role.
Oh yeah, and did I mention he was in fucking Predator?!
He also had small roles in Night of the Creeps, Dead Heat, and Robocop 3. You might not have known it but, if you're like me, this guy IS your childhood!
And now he's helming the third installment of Marvel's most exciting superhero franchise and it looks fucking bad-ass. So while I know you were gonna see Iron Man 3 anyway this weekend, just remember who made it and get ten times more excited!!
